Designed by five-time British Open champion, Peter Thomson, the course is set in a
beautiful valley and the scenery is magnificent. Waterfalls, trail, streams and all kinds of trees are surrounded by mountains. Located only 30 kms from Chiang Mai center, this lovely course is set amongst wooded hills, and cool placid streams. Designed for the whole family in mind, this course offers a hotel and full leisure facilities. The course itself offers some
challenging holes for both amateur and professional player, while keeping in harmony with its beautiful surroundings. A gem. At the finish of the round there is a beautiful view towards the clubhouse. the club has a 60-room hotel. Strategic positioning of fairway and greenside bunkers calls for accurate play, rather than long hitting. However, on some holes distances to the greens are deceptive and there is a tendency to
under club. There is not a poor hole on the golf course. This gem of a golf course can lay claim to being one of the finest in Asia. Set on the lower slope of a hill below the dam (named after His Majesty the King), the scenery magnificent trees and beautiful flowers and shrubs, will distract most golfers from their game! Bunkering is minimal, but players are faced with a wide variety of shots up, down and across the slopes. Adding to the enjoyment are drives played from elevated tees to valley shaped fairways.
There are six par-three holes, seven par fours and five par fives. Playing each and every one of them is a pleasure. Chalet-style accommodations are available. By road, it is about a three-hour drive from Chiang Mai. Only 9 kilometers from the center of Chiang Rai the Santiburi Country Club was Chiang Rai's first golf course, and is considered one of Thailand's finest. Definitely one to play during a visit to Chiang Mai. The course sits on a slightly flat terrain sloping towards the Ping River. It is a long testing course, with water coming into play on almost every hole. Most holes are heavily bunkered, making play even more exacting. The fairways and greens are usually in very good condition. There is not much shade on the course, so most players
are very thirsty by the time they reach the 'nineteenth'. The huge clubhouse provides first-class amenities and there is a hotel in the vicinity of the golf course. Only 15 kms from Chiang Mai, Green Valley offers 10 Par 4's and many water hazards. This beautiful and scenic course is a popular haven for local and visiting golfers alike. Definitely one to play during a visit to Chiang Mai. Three nine-hole layout are featured here. Set in beautiful rolling countryside, this undulating terrain needed little landscaping to make it a superb test of golf. Distances are short, but the narrow fairways and judicious placement of water and sand demands placement of water and sand demands accuracy. Varied fairway lies need care, especially on approaches to the well-bunkered greens. It is possible to make the trip from Bangkok in the morning, play a round in the afternoon and return to the capital in the evening. Service inside the pleasant clubhouse is friendly. There are beautiful views of the hills from every hole and of Chiang Mai's famed Doi Suthep Mountain temple.
The fairways are lined with mature trees, offering welcomed shade, but difficult rough. The refurbished greens run true, and the watering system ensures lush fairways throughout the year. This is a classic, natural golf course which no golfer should miss playing. There is a nice clubhouse here and the Northern welcome to visitors is rather special. This beautiful golf course set in the Khao Yai mountains has five different tee boxes to choose from. The course rewards smart course management and punishes errant shot making. Expansive contouring, pristine lakes and a wide variety of bunker styles and shapes gives each hole a new and exciting challenge. The greens tend to be slick and three putting is common. The added bonus of playing golf here is that there is usually a breeze. Clubhouse facilities are good, including two swimming pools, but there is no hotel on site. This is a very pretty inland course surrounded by mature woodland. From the blue tees the par fours are challenging and the layout is a fair test for most handicap group. Approach shots to the rather small greens are made easier as the threes in the background assist the player in judging the distance.
There is a golf lodge at the course and the clubhouse facilities are good. This is an ideal place for families to stay amidst the beautiful countryside. The course here follows the natural contours of the terrain, taking advantage of a mountain rimmed valley. Set in pleasant rolling countryside the course is often pleasantly breezy. Designer Ronald Fream has provided some challenging tee shots, particularly the 10th, blind over a valley and across the face of a hill. The clubhouse overlooks a lake and facilities are geared to suit all the family. Accommodations are also available. Victory Park Golf & Country Club is the first golf course with 18 holes developed in Nong Khai province. The golf course is a real championship and international standard with the splendid and modern clubhouse. It is a good news for all golfers to enjoy golf in a challenging and exciting golf course in Nong Khai. The misty mountains near Khao Yai National Park provide a spectacular backdrop to the undulating fairways. There are five sets of tees and the course is a tough test at 7,058 yards from the back tees. The course is beautifully maintained. There are some difficult dog-leg holes, especially the parfive second and twelfth. There is a palatial clubhouse with wonderful views. The resort hotel is of five-star standard. The average temperature is always 7 degrees Celsius lower than elsewhere in the area.
